The third part of America’s Plan’s civic infrastructure stack is here. The commons wiki is installed, operational, and built on MediaWiki — the same open-source platform that powers Wikipedia. That choice was deliberate: MediaWiki is proven at scale, maintained by a large global community, and capable of handling any volume of content, contributors, and traffic that America’s Plan could reasonably expect. When the time comes to build it out seriously, the foundation will not be the constraint.
But that time is not yet. The wiki has no content because content development is not the current priority — the working forum is where the active work of America’s Plan happens right now, and it will be the source of the documented knowledge the commons is eventually designed to preserve. When forum activity generates enough accumulated insight to warrant systematic organization into reference material, the wiki becomes the next priority. Until then it exists as infrastructure in waiting — ready, scalable, and not pretending to be something it isn’t yet. You are welcome to visit it at wiki.americasplan.org.
